Does my renewal automatically renew if I'm paying by direct debit?

No, we believe that automatic direct debit and renewal will enforce your decision to take on the cover. We only renew your direct debit with your prior consent.

When do I get my renewal notice?

We will issue your renewal notice in good time allowing you to make your decision or to make any relevant changes.

Can I make part payments?

We only accept the following payments:

Direct Debit
New Direct Debit Client: A deposit is required in order to set up the cover and direct debit. This will be depending on the premium and type of insurance.

Existing Direct Debit Client: No deposit is required if your payment has been successful in the previous year’s whilst insured with Crownsway.

In arranging Direct Debit facilities Crownsway Insurance Brokers Limited are acting as a credit broker.

There is standard facility fee of £5.00 which is applicable to all new business and renewals transactions.

Bank Transfer
Bank Transfers also known as BACS. Bank details will provided upon request. Most bank transfers appear in the account within 3 hours if paid in AM if after PM this could be next working day.

Cash
This can be processed when you visit us in the office. Click here for the address.

Cheque
We accept cheques but please allow sufficient time for the cheque to clear (appx 7 to 14 days). This is not the recommended method of payment if you are required to make the payment immediately. The payee name is Crownsway Insurance Brokers Limited

Card

We accept all major debit and credit card impart from American Express.

What do I do in the event of a Commercial Insurance claim?

Claims Procedure:

Immediate notice

Upon learning of any circumstances likely to give rise to a claim, you must report to your insurers immediately (The insurers’ contact details, including claims line numbers, are contained within the policy wording) and provide all assistance which insurers may require.

Inform police

As soon as reasonably possible tell the police if the loss or damage is by theft or attempted theft or by riot or civil labour or political disturbances or vandals or malicious people or if Money or non-negotiable instruments have been lost.

Minimise loss

Take action to minimise the damage and to avoid interruption or interference with the business and to prevent further injury or damage.

Supply full details

Supply to insurers at your expense full details of the claim in writing including any supporting evidence and information (e.g Photographs). Similarly, as soon as reasonably possible send insurers any writ or summons issued against you.

Recoveries

At insurers request and at their expense do or allow to be done everything reasonably required by insurers, for the purpose of making recoveries from other parties, whether such action is necessary before or after insurers pay your claim under the policy.
